5-6 lbs whole organic chicken
Organic seasonings to sprinkle on top (dried herbs, garlic powder, sea salt, etc.)
Place whole raw chicken into slow cooker
Sprinkle seasonings on top
Set slow cooker setting to low heat and cook for approximately 7 hours on low
Serve when internal temperature of 165º F is reached
Optional: baste chicken every hour while cooking
After cooking is completed, add additional seasonings if desired
Refrigerate unused chicken and store for up to 4 days
Chicken can be used for salads, stir fries, tacos, soups, etc.
Chicken carcass/bones can be saved to make homemade broth for soup
